The Bible says, “All have sinned” Romans 3:23. That includes you and me. Scripture also says, “The wages of sin is death” Romans 6:23. This kind of death is spiritual and eternal.
No man can save himself from this death by our good works, by church membership, or by trying to be good. The only way to be saved from the penalty of sin, is to get rid of sin.
Now how can one accomplish this? Jesus provided the way by dying on the cross. There are three things that each person must first recognize
You are a sinner
You cannot save yourself
Only Christ can save you
Once we acknowledge this, and accept that Christ took our place, He is able to forgive us.
When we ask Christ into out lives, He accepts, forgives us and He becomes our Saviour.
The decision to accept Jesus Christ into your life as your Lord and Saviour is the greatest decision you could ever make. Now you must find and attend a good bible-based church, study the Word, pray, and you will be on your way to becoming a strong Christian, prepared for the day when Jesus returns to take us home to Heaven to be with him forever.
